Product Review: PLDT Fibr Application - disappointed.

Hello mommies,

Internet nowadays is a must for every household especially if you are living in the city.  Don't get me wrong but I think we are in the middle of online revolution, where you can access anything and everything around the world through world wide web. Especially that the social media is in the hype and there are a lot of information that are readily available for everyone to see or if you have something to share around the world you can do so without even being a superstar.  You can be your own superstar or internet sensation.  Everything is all up to you.

We already have an PLDT Ultera subscription but it is very limited and unstable.  We are just given 30gb each month for Php699.00 Since we are having trouble with our PLDT Ultera because it tends to disconnect all the time and my partner need a stable connection for his work.  With that me and my partner decided to upgrade our existing PLDT Ultera to PLDT Fibr hoping to have better connection and unlimited data cap.

Let me share my horrifying PLDT Fibr application that makes me disappointed in acquiring their products and services.  I personally went to their office 2 times to apply for the said "Fibr."  First application went smooth, the lady which I talked said to just wait for a call for any update from their team if the said services is available in our area. 2 weeks later without a call from them, so I followed up personally to their office in SM Megamall where I filed my application, that's the time I found out that there was no socket available in our place.  She advised me to wait again. And re- apply in a months time because as of now she can't determine if there are slots that is going to be open for future subscriber.  After a month, I went back to their office in SM Megamall to re-apply again.  After 2 days I've got a call from their technician saying that they will do some ocular inspection in our area.  After a few minutes he told me that there was no socket available because it's already full and he did not know if PLDT will add an additional sockets.  He even showed me the pictures of the sockets.

So there, after a couple of days we had a change of plan.  We went to PLDT Pasig Rotonda Branch to apply for a new PLDT Speed Plan at 10mbps and 100gb Cap.  The waiting game starts again.  To no avail, nobody texted or called.  It's been a week so I followed up my application and the lady on the phone told me that the Plan I am applying is not applicable in our area.  The heck this PLDT.  They are just wasting my time.  They should know the exact status of their products and services before they offer it to people and not just accepts application and not minding them after all.  It is not easy going to their office on my day off.  I have to do lots of things, or I'd rather just take a rest in our house.  But, I got up went to their office.  Inquire and apply.  The lady in the front just accept all application not knowing if it is really available.  And aside from that they are not giving the consumer its options, so the customer will not go back and forth to their office to re apply or follow up the application.  They should put in the forms an option that if this services is not available the next best option would be this..  And that's it.

I was really pissed.  The guy over the phone told me to terminate the previous PLDT Speed plan application, and request just a regular PLDT DSL application that will give us the chances of having a DSL.  My brain is shouting WTF.  How come the lady on their office did not even told us that personally?  That lady just get our application.  All applicants on that day may I conclude. So we just applied for what is available and not go through this very hassle waiting game.

After a week again of waiting there is no call from them about the status of our application for the regular DSL is unknown yet.  There was no call, no text not even an e-mail.  I will give them until friday if not we might apply from another internet provider.

Hay naku PLDT.  You should exert more effort in providing high quality products and services and convenience to your clients too.  There are a lot of internet providers out there that is so much willing to give their services to their consumers.

INVESTMENT: PAG IBIG MP2 Program

Hello mommies,

Investing while you are young is the most important thing to do especially now a days that money and finances are very tough to handle and manage.  Everything seems to be expensive and salary is always not enough to make both ends meet.  Living in this expensive and materialistic world is not enough and saving for the future and future family is tougher.  So we have to do so many ways to earn and save.  For most of us employed, we really don't have much because we are just getting a months worth of working, and we have a lot of obligations in our life that we need to face first not minding what is important or setting it aside first because we don't have much.

There are a lot of financial literacy guru all over and all they are preaching is saving.  So the question is what are we going to save if we don't have much? And how are we going to save?  As a newbie to this saving saga, I've read and stumble so many articles, discussions, blogs and forums and I found out about this PAG IBIG MP2 program by the Philippine Government.  It helps someone save and earn for their retirement.  And the minimum worth of contribution is Php 500.00 and the maximum is up to the member,  Mind you people we cannot withdraw..  I repeat, we cannot withdraw our money for 5 years.  We can add but we can't deduct.  The money will incur interest overtime and that's how you earn.  After 5 years and you don't need the money you can extend for as long as you like.  Being an active member of MP1 is prerequisite.

The Pros:  Bigger savings bigger interest
                    No tax

The Cons:  There is no passbook/online account that you can see your status just like online   banking.
You have to either go to the office to pay or have it auto debit from your office
5 years is quite a long time.
                         It is not loanable.

For someone who is an existing member please enlighten us.  To Pag-Ibig I hope you'll make extra effort to be transparent to your member and issue a passbook or record book after all it is our hard earned money.

Children's Summer Activities

Hello mommies
This coming summer I am planning to enrol my not so little girl anymore to swimming lesson because she has a weak lungs, I want her to develop a healthy lungs and stamina too.  I will go to Pasig City Rave Park, I know they are offering swimming class especially to us Pasiguenos yet I don't know the fee.  Las summer I inquired at The Eastside Manor residences I believe their rate is Php4500 for less than 10 days and just 1 -1 half hours per day.  Due to bad finances that time and being frugal I hesitated and did not let her enrol but this time she really have to and we really have to.  She badly need it.

Next come to my mind is her Jollibee summer camp.  She is looking forward to her Jollibee school this 2018.  She attended the 2017 summer camp and she really liked it so much that she remembers it up until now.  It only cost us Php700 .  If I remember it correctly.

Next,  I plan to enrol her to a reading class at  Enopi Eye Level Learning Center at C. Raymundo.  I felt a bit sad that up until today she can't read a word.  She knows how to read the alphabet but she is having a hard time when it comes to words.  I know it has to come in me.  But teaching your child how to read is a difficult task though I read her a story books at night. Sigh

Next, I am dreaming to enrol her in TAEKWONDO.  But these sport entails big expenses.  I did some research on the fees and gears and its a bit stiff on our part.  I'll just continue dreaming and saving so someday I can give her the best life that I want for her.
What about you mommies? Care to share your summer plan for your kids?

Product Review: POTEN-CEE Vitamin C Gummies

Hello mommies,

Last Friday morning me and my colleague had a brief chitchat about our kids.  She has an asthmatic and sensitive child like mine too.  We talked about their school, their activities and their future activities this coming summer.  Then she told me that her child has been cold and cough free for a couple of months now.  I asked her what did she do?  She said she changed her sons vitamins into Poten Cee and Immunomax.  According to her, she noticed that her son had increased his appetite and also his resistance to diseases especially cough and cold that is very  rampant in school age child.  And the season here in the Philippines is not cooperating as well.  These is really a struggle to us mom most especially that our child is in preschool and they are most likely vulnerable to viruses and bacteria.  They will just put everything in their mouth after holding anything and everything.

When my shift ended I hurriedly went to southstar drug store which is located nearby our hospital to buy the said vitamins.  As you all know my daughter is having a bad cough and cold lately.  I immediately gave her the Poten Cee vitamins I bought the chewable variant and I can tell that she liked it a lot.  I told her it is not candy, it is an orange bear that will help her fight the cough and cold in her body. And she is delighted by the idea that some imaginative bear will help her combat the flu inside her.  I am so sorry, I am not a doctor I gave her double dose but I am a desperate mom so I gave her 1 bear in the morning after her breakfast and 1 in the evening after dinner to help her boost up her immune system fast.  It's just 2 days of usage and I can see an improvement in her condition.   And she said that it's yummy and she likes it.  By the way I am proud that my daughter is not a big fan of candies.  And since Poten Cee is very chewy and tasty too she developed fondness of it.  Well according to their product description it has many anti-oxidant or anti bodies that will help our body fight free radicals and aside from that it also contains rosehip extracts and beta-carotene that will make them grow healthy.

By the way mommies there is also a syrup type of these kind a much cheaper one around Php130.00.  But I opt for the gummies because I can tell that my daughter doesn't like to take liquid vitamins.

I haven't gave her the immunomax yet.  So my review for that product will follow later.

What: Poten Cee Vitamin C Gummies
Where to buy: Southstar of any leading drugstore
Price: Php198.75
Recommendation: Highly recommended

What are your children's vitamins? Care to share?

Blogger to wordpress

Hello mommies,

I am still contemplating whether to migrate my blogger blog to WordPress.  I've found out that you have to migrate to WordPress first before you can actually have your blog hosted.

I want to have my own domain and have my blog hosted for better chance of getting a higher page rank in google search.  The more searchable your blog is the bigger traffic.  And I  want to have a big traffic for me to earn bigger in adsense.

Blogger for me is really user friendly and the interface is easy to understand.  Aside from that I can tweak it anytime.

How to get rid of cough and cold in your school age child?

Hello mommies,

Last Monday afternoon while my family is at our family room watching TV I suddenly hear my daughter sniff and I noticed she had a cold.  She is also warm to touch.  I immediately change her clothes and gave her paracetamol syrup tempra.  After  few minutes I was relieved that her fever is gone.  Then at night the temperature rise again.  I placed cool fever in her forehead, gave her paracetamol syrup and gave her a sponge bath.  It's been on and off fever with cold.  I am hoping it is just viral.  I've heard that almost all kids here in our block got the same too.  I am tensed because knowing my daughter, she easily got pneumonia, we are closely monitoring her food and milk intake especially fluids.  I also gave her Vitamin C so whatever it is in her body it will go away. This morning I told myself if the cough will not subside I will take her to the Pediatrician but the cough was minimized and the sneezing was just occasional.  I hope this will pass.  Now, she just have itchy throat. By the way, last night she can't hardly breathe due to clogged nose. I nebulized her with just saline, so the mist can enter her nostrils.  I also sprayed her nose with saline spray.  And she sleep soundly.  I am always praying to God to gave her good health and that she will grow up healthy.  She is just so fragile.

What about you moms?

REBATE: Snap your reciept and earn money through SNAPCART

Hello mommies,

For all of you who don't know what SNAPCART is, it is an application on your smart phone that  you can download at the app store for free that is offering "cash back" on your receipt.  So every time you snap or upload a receipt through this app you'll get money as a rebate or reward.

So if you happen to go to the grocery, pharmacy or fresh produce don't just throw your receipts just yet because you can earn from them.   For someone who is asking what are they going to do with the snapped receipt, well as far as I know they will use the receipts to study the trends of what people always buy.  It is a marketing study on what people always buy according to their age brackets.

By the way you can cash out when you reach 220.00php amount and a there will be a form that will pop out on your cash out page.  Or if you want you can convert your money through load when you reached Php55.00

Happy snapping.

How to get rid of head lice in preschool child?

Hello mommies.

How are you doing. I just want to share my experience recently about my 6 year old daughter regarding having a head lice/nits  or simply "kuto" in filipino word.

First of all.  Having a lies in school age child is common here in the Philippines because our country is a tropical one. It is very sunny and humid.  I know it is kind of unpleasant. It all started when we went to the beach just recently, in batangas our host at the home stay has a 5 year old grand child.  She and luna love to hang out so that's how the lice started to spread.  It was transmitted from one host to another. When we got home, Luna keep on scratching her head and I told my mother about it and she immediately grab a fine comb to check and she got few little ones. Then i bought a shampoo called licealis that is claiming to get rid of these stubborn lice and nits. It' s been day 2 now and she still wakes up at night scratching.  She often say its itchy.

Every morning after her bath I often comb her using fine tooth once in a while I still get a lice but unlike before.

What about you? Is your child suffering from lice too??

How to get rid of constipation in school age children? Using GI Pro Tec

Hello Mommies,

As you all know my daughter Luna has been suffering from constipation.  She is a very active preschooler, drinks lots of water, eats a lot of solids but at her age she is a picky eater  She hardly eats fruits unless you made it to shake.  She doesn't like vegetables as well.  I have to mash it first and hide it to her rice.

So we went to her pediatrician to have her check up because she often complains of stomach ache and she often passed hard stool.  And her pediatrician prescribed her with GI Pro-tec.  It is a probiotic food supplement that will definitely help her tummy to pass out stool.  As we all know Probiotics are made up of good bacteria that is beneficial to our digestive system.  They help our guts to become healthy.

Without hesitation I immediately purchase a couple of sachets just to try if it will work on her.  Because I can't offer her Yakult everyday  due to her hypersensitivity to dairy she developed hyper acidity.  Thankfully it work on her.  Though at times she is holding it, our pediatrician teach us about her daily toilet morning routine to make sure she will do it.  We are not pressuring her.  We just ask her to sit for 5 minutes and if not successful we try again in the evening.

you can buy per sachet
How to use it:
I basically dilute 1 sachet to her milk at bed time daily.  She likes the taste.

 Product Name: GI Pro-Tec 1+
Price: Php 20.00+ per sachet
Available:  I bought mine at Southstar
Rating: 5stars

Affordable Travel Destination: Masasa Beach, Batangas Travel Getaway + Budget

Hello mommies,

How are you?

If you are looking for a quick weekend getaway with your family and friends without actually breaking the bank then here is the answer to your itchy feet .

As we all know Batangas is just 2-4hours drive from the metro depending on which route you will take, or if you will take the bus then the travel time is just the same especially if you take the CALABARZON Route.  There is no stop except for loading passengers so traveling is as easy as pie.  We chose this place because its very affordable, also its  the nearest beach from Metro Manila if I am not mistaken and almost all travel bloggers rave about it so we are extremely excited to go there.

So now let me share our family weekend getaway at Masasa Beach, Tingloy Batangas last January 13-14, 2018.  Me, my mom, Luna our 6 year old daughter and bebeloves went to Batangas by commute. We took ALPS Bus line directly to Batangas Grand Terminal, (you can also take Jam or Gold Bus line) from Batangas GT we took a jeepney going to Anilao, from Anilao we took the boat to Tingloy.  Actually there is another boat going directly to Masasa Beach but the boats at Anilao port are  super confusing and there are no customer service nor a ticketing agents or coastguards that we can ask on how to get there plus there is a lot of crowd because its a weekend.  People, especially new comers like us are confused.  So basically, we just go with the flow.  There are a lot of passengers and the line is quite long so you need to be patient.  Due to the bulk of guests, it took us 2 hours to pay for the environmental fee. By the way my 6 year old daughter is not free of charge.

Thankfully the sun is cooperating and the clouds gave us lots of shades.  After a long wait in a corner we finally board our boat.  There is no first come first serve basis here, so you have to be snappy to get a seat at least.  From Tingloy port there is a lot of tricycle that will take you to your homestay.
