Talino.

So here is the link NBI CLEARANCE.

I am just renewing my NBI, so technically year 2014 and below should get or register as new applicants.  While for old timers like me I just signed in.

Then click apply for a clearance or if you want to edit your information you can do so.

Now you can now proceed by choosing the date and branch near you and also choose the payment option that is convenient to you. Like 7-11, Over the Counter, Bayad Center, Multi Pay or EC Pay

GOALS 2019

Hello luvies.

Year 2018 is almost over.  It has been a roller coaster ride.  One thing is for sure I still did not achieve most of my goals and aspiration though I've been working my butt out.  Maybe because I was not at the proper place.  Oh well.  This year I have so must to be thankful for and next year I have so much to look forward to.  I am hopeful.

Before 2018 end I will list my GOALS for 2019.  I will  list them as I want to unlock it 1 by 1.

  1. To be debt free - eto ang pinaka una kung aayusin starting now.   My finances is in jeopardy.  It's because our resources are very limited.  No matter how hard I work our income do not make ends meet.  So I don't have enough savings to do and buy what I want.  Our salary always end up with Judith (due date) and Billy (bills).  Haay buhay..
  2. To increase my income - I guess in order to achieve this I have to add another source of income.  Having a full time job doesn't suffice at all.  So I need another avenue which is sales, this requires a part time only but offer so much more.  So help me God.
  3. Make a Passive income -   I will make this income a must.  Can you imagine earning money while you sleep?? Who wouldn't want that?? Almost all of us here in the Philippines work 8-12 hours a day and earning only P15,000-20,000 a month.  Can you imagine too much work too little pay?  The sad part is that if you will not work you will not be paid.  Sad life..  Now how will I make these.  There are so much avenue in this one but mind you this is not for the faint of heart.  Everything needs hard work.  If you have this one you are one of the few who unlock one of the keys to financial freedom.  Let's work hand in hand with this one.
  4.  To have a BIG SAVINGS - Need not say more.  If I have big savings I will not worry that much about tomorrow.  Oh di ba??
  5. To ATTAIN FINANCIAL FREEDOM
You might ask me.  Bakit walang travel goals??  Gustuhin ko man nga mga kapatid parang di naman attainable yun at the moment.  Kasi sa 4 na Goal na yan at sa minimum income ko kulang pa di ba?  It can wait naman.  Who knows my career in sales will give me a piece of this one.  Cross finger.  All I need for now is to believe in myself.  And take actions on my dreams.  I have to be someone.  I have to attain something in this life.  YOLO nga di ba?  You only live once.  I kept on thinking I don't want to die poor.  Because if I do it is my fault.  My parents sent me to school to be the best that I can be.  I don't want to be a disappointment.  I want to show them that I cannot  just support myself but also them.

I will unlock this 1 by 1.  I know it will not be easy.  But I know it will be so worth it.

How about you? Have you listed your goals for 2019?? Let's share thoughts.

How to authenticate Certificate of Employment at DFA

Hello mga Inay.

When my certificate of employment was released by our Human Resource last week, I was so happy that I immediately rushed to The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in Alimall, Cubao.  I headed to 3rd floor and get a form from the guard.  Filled it up giddily and fall in line.  Suddenly, the Lady in Window 5 caught my attention as she was checking my papers and guess what?? It was incomplete.  I was appalled because it is past 3pm already and all major government offices will be closed at 5pm.  So I hurriedly went to Pasig City to have it notarized.  Luckily, I got to the office at 4pm and my mother's friend who is a clerk assisted me.  But, I have to go to CANA Office of the Regional Trial Court in Pasig City the next day to get an affidavit.

You may asked me what went wrong? Or what requirements are lacking?

Well, well guys.  Before you proceed to DFA for authentication make sure you bring the following documents:

✅Original Certificate of Employment ( for checking purposes)
✅Notarized photocopy of your COE
✅ An affidavit from CANA with Gold seal.
✅Payment of 100php for regular or 200php for expedite(rush) 1 day processing.  I opted the latter because I need that authenticated document ASAP because I will submit it to the Agency for authentication stamp at Kuwait Embassy.

As soon as I got all the required requirements I proceed again for the nth time to DFA
Alimall.

I went to window 5 for processing paid Php200 then return the next day.
I claimed my newly authenticated or known as red ribboned COE at window 6.  It is just smooth processing with not much crowd.  Unlike getting a passport.  Well, that is a different story.

What about you? Care to share your experience when you process your documents.

How I opened my BDO Kabayan Savings

Most of you know that I will be venturing to be an OFW soon.  Opening a savings account is a must because this is where I will place my remittance.  I've decided to open a  BDO Kabayan Savings because  it was near our place and I was enticed with the idea that there is no maintaining balance compared to their regular savings account.

BDO Kabayan comes with a yellow passbook and an ATM which you can enroll for online banking.

The requirements are the following:
  • 2 Government issued ID
  • Contract copy
  • PDOS copy
  • Passport
Remarks:  As much as possible they want to see the original ones especially the contracts and passport,  but I told them that all was at the agency already.  I just got it photocopied because I will open a bank account with them.  They are kind of strict especially with the requirements because after all there is no maintaining balance.

The clerk at the bank told me that I need at least 1 transaction per year for this account to remain a KABAYAN SAVINGS or else it will be converted into a regular savings account which have a maintaining balance of Php10,000 and aside from that if I can't maintain the account they will charge Php300 for dormancy.. hefty right?

By the way there is a Php100.00 amount value for opening the account. and It will take a week to get the ATM.  So, I will be back on Tuesday.   According the their website, it's perks is Free Life and Accident Insurance and you can get rewards from it as well.

Regarding their Free Life and Accident Insurance - you have to meet their requirements and enroll it here.

What about you?  What is your bank of choice?

How to go to DFA Asiana (MOA0 from Pasig

Hello mga Inay.

I was about to claim my authenticated High School documents from the province to the main branch of Department of Foreign Affairs Asiana Branch.  It would be very much conveneint if it were just DFA Alimall. Unfortunately it was in their main branch.  And guess what? I really don't know how to go there.  Yeah, I've been staying and living in Manila for quite some time now and let me tell you I still do not know certain places, especially that I am a work place-home person only.  That is my life and my world has been that way.  Funny isn't it.  Thankfully google invented its MAP and I find it handy.  That is why I utilize it.
So, I live in Pasig City.  Basically I typed, "How to go to DFA Asiana from Pasig?"  Too shallow right?  But heck, I have to go there by myself and I have to find the easiest route because I hate getting stuck in traffic.  And I do not own a car so commuting is not a breeze.

This is how I manage to go there:
From Pasig Palengke I took the jeepney ๐Ÿš™ with Starmall/MRT signboard. Then I was contemplating if I will take the bus ๐ŸšŒ or  ๐ŸšŠ MRT.  I opt for the MRT because of the shortest travel time.  The MRT is southbound ok?  I alighted at TAFT station.  And when I got down the station LUCKY ME there was a white jeepney that is going to DFA ASIANA.  I was so happy.
The jeepney looks like this.  And there you can see the DFA Asiana. YEY.

Jeepney bound to SM MOA and DFA ASIANA

I entered Gate 1 that is the entrance for claiming documents I guess.  And you know what?? The building is so huge and there are a lot of counters, yet it was so full.  It was air conditioned and systematic.  There are a lot of people who are doing their business inside.  Maybe some of them are getting passports and other travel documents.  Whereas for me I am claiming my high school CAV from the province directly to DFA Asiana. Finally, My high school credential has its red ribbon with gold seal on it.

Red Ribboned High School Credential ✅

Now, it's time to go home.

From DFA Asiana I decided to got to Baclaran Church first and pay a visit to Ina ng Laging Saklolo.  I am praying for guidance and wisdom.  So i took the yellow jeepney.  I asked the driver if he will go to Baclaran Church itself before anything else.

From Baclaran I took the Bus going to Crossing Ibabaw. From Crossing I took the jeep going to Pasig.  The after a whole day of travelling I finally reach home with a happy heart and a swollen feet.

Work Abroad: Genesis Hospital Pohnpei, Micronesia

hello Luvies,

To work or not to work abroad that is the question I am facing right now.  Amidst facing the challenge of low salary, traffic and workload I am entertaining the thought that I might work abroad and grab the opportunity.  Hence, I don't want to be confined in the dessert (middle east) for 2 years or more due to the very strict culture like Saudi Arabia.  I am often lurking to WORKABROAD to look for an opportunity.  And I came across Nurse in Micronesia which is offered by Romar Agency in Quezon City,  I immediately submit an application,  few days after I received an sms from them inviting me to visit their office.  I am tempted to try but I am also torn since their salary offer is lesser than in the middle east.

Where is Micronesia? - It's near Palau, Saipan and Guam. and maybe Hawaii..

What I am thinking? -is it worth it?  Can I save and send money here in the Philippines?  Would it be enough for me and my family.  Also It is an open country and the tax is not free..  Oh boy..

Perks - The hospital as what I've google  is not that big.  It is just like any other ordinary hospital here in Manila.  Maybe just like the place I am working.  But the location is superb.  The weather is mostly rainy. (Parang pinas lang.)  And as what I've discovered it is also a tropical paradise with a lots of suns and beautiful beaches.  And the place is so laid back,  Though there are amenities and facilities but not as modern.  And the best part is there is a Filipino store and Filipino Community as well.  So boredom is out of the picture.
