Last Saturday, I had my D&C dahil nga sa abnormal mens ko.  Napagdesisyunan ni Doctora na mag D&C para malaman kung bakit ako nagkaron ng prolonged mensturation.  Umabot na sya ng mga 24 days at may time na heavy at medyo mahilo hilo na din ako sa takot ko na maubusan ng dugo ay pumayag na ako.  Pikit mata na lang ako sa takot.

Para na din matapos tong paghihirap ko sa menstruation.  Pero hindi assurance ang D&C na hindi na uulit ang heavy bleeding ko gawa ng mayron akong myoma Maliliit lang naman eto.  Parang forever na yata ako magkakaron ng heavy bleeding until mang menopause ako.  Hay.  Kaya mag aalalay ako ng ferrous sulfate para dumami pa ang rbc ko.

 

So yun, nakasurvive naman ako sa procedure saglit lang naman sya wala pang 30minutes na kakayudin ang loob ng matres at makakauwi rin naman agad.  Yun paghihintay na lng ng histopath result ang matagal.

Please pray for me.  Sana maganda ang resulta ng histopath.

Hello Sunshine.

 

I personally experienced having a very long period.  It is like 16 days which prompt me to have a check up with my OB Gyne.  I was not planning to visit her actually because my period often slow don like a spotting and then the next day there will be gushing.  I was thinking this could be hormonal because I am experiencing stress lately with life and finances.  So just like you I am struggling to make our budget get buy and money for the check up is not part of the list.  I know what you will say.  Why I do not have an emergency fund.  That is what I am asking myself too.  Our income is just limited.  I do not have a multiple income stream.  Both my blog and vlogs income is not enough to cash out yet.  I hope you do not mind supporting me,  These way you are making a great impact on our life.  And we are just dependent on a single income household.  We are trying our best to make both ends meet.  But the expenses is just a handful.  I will strive harder to be financially independent.  I wish I can double our household income in a months time before Judith (due date) and Billy (bills) knock on our door again.

 

Well anyhow, I finally decided not to go to work to have a check up to find out what is wrong with my reproductive organ  because I cannot see an end to this bleeding episodes, I am afraid to get anemia and super afraid to get a blood transfusion God forbid.  I used whatever I saved for the bills to have a money for check up.

What the OB GYNE did?

First she wanted to check if I am pregnant.  So I had a pregnancy test.  It came out negative.

Next, She put a vaginal speculum to see where the bleeding is coming from and it came from the inside not definite which part of my reproductive organs.

Next she did an internal exam or IE to feel if I have some mass on my lower abdomen or shall I say matres in tagalog.  She did not feel any.  It is a big relief.

 I was supposed to have a Transvaginal Ultrasound but their machine is under maintenance that time so I have to go somewhere for the test.  This is to clearly see where am I bleeding.  

 

I went to her other clinic where there is Ultrasound machine and did the procedure there.  Then, she finally saw what is the cause of my long period. As of this writing it is now exactly 18days  She saw that I have Myoma or fibroids.  She found 3 myomas that she says a grape in size.  Which gave me a shock because I am only 43 years old and no bad habits like smoking and drinking alcohol, I am not even a fan of coffee and as much as possible I do not take self medicate.  I am still in disbelief.  She said she cannot clearly see what is inside my uterus because the lining and the bleeding still hinder her sight.  She needs to repeat all the test after 1 week if the menstruation will stop or else I will undergo a dilatation and curettage. I am praying and hoping that I won't have to go through that 😭 😭 😭 

 

After the visit she prescribed Tranexamic Acid.  Full dose 3x a day for 2 days.  I am kinda scared of this because the side effect of this medicine is having blood clots and that will be another ordeal. God forbid I will surpass this.

She also prescribed me Primolut N - a hormonal medicine particularly progesterone that will help my body control irregular bleeding or heavy periods.  This I have to take for 5 days.

As what I've said, I need to go back to her clinic again after 1 week to repeat all the test.

AWARENESS: Taking of Tranexamic Acid and Primolut N increased the risk of blood clot so extreme measure should be done.  And please get a prescription before taking any medicine because that might put you on risk for clotting.

 

 

What are my signs and symptoms prior to this longer period episode? 

 Nothing.  It just happen on the 5th day and my last day of my period while I was at work I felt a sudden heavy flow and I was puzzled because it was supposed to be the last day and all I have was a spotting.  I did not feel any pain like dysmenorrhea or even mild cramps.  When I got home I am fully soaked.  I just take it as my normal day.  On my 7th day this is the heaviest part because I can feel it dripping.  Excuse for those who are eating.  On the 10th day it slows down.  Then its like a roller coaster.  It will slow down then the next day it will gush.  I was thinking my body is expelling so much and little reproduction of blood is happening.  It might cause me anemia.  That is the time I decided to get a consultation.

What is myoma?

My Ob Gyne told me not to worry too much about myoma because it is mostly benign and eventually it will decrease in size if you reached the menopausal stage and most often people do not need surgery for that.

 

Mr Google answered most of my questions in mind.  Here is what I found out about it.

Myoma or fibroids appear during a woman's child bearing age and when her estrogen level is high.

How are we going to prevent myoma?

1. Avoid salty food
2. Avoid processed food
3. Avoid alcoholic drinks/caffein
4. Exercise regularly
5. Loose weight if possible
6. Eat potassium reach food.

Too bad lang pag ganun lahat ng naipambayad ko will just go down the drain magkakapenalty pa for not completing the contract so opting for a prepaid is the best choice for me.

So eto na.  When I purchased the Maxicare EReady Advance Titanium P2950 through their website.  napaka smooth lang.  Nakarecieve agad ako ng e-mail ng instruction on how to register the reference number they've given.  I follow the instruction and when I key in the reference number ang sabi "the reference number is already registered."  Kumpyansa ako na ok na nga.  I waited for an sms or an e-mail of confirmation about my registration kasi sabi sa website after 24 hours of submitting the registration ay makakatanggap ako ng e-mail or sms together with the e-card.  I've waited and waited and waited.  pero bakit ganun mag 1 week na wala pa din confirmation eh nacharge na ako sa card and yet di pa pala active or confirmed man lang.  Sabi pa ang membership ay magiging active after 7days of confirmed registration.  Eh di nga sila nagpapadala ng e-mail nor sms kung succesful na ba ang pagregister ko so I e-mailed my concern.  Mag 1 month na actually from the date of my purchase and di pa din sila nag e-mail ng confirmation, if the card is active nasan na ang sinasabi nila na within 24 hours??  Ganun ba katagal mag verify?😤 😤 😤 

 

In all fairness to the maxicare offline staff nagrereply naman sila after a few days of my e-mail.  I've sent them a few follow up e-mail and I recieved 3 replies with the same exact words on it, pati tuldok magkakaiba lang ang sender, and magkakaiba ng date sent.  They said they already forwarded my concern to the department who is handling this. Saan na kaya and sino ang in-charge dito? Nagbakasyon ba?  nadaganan ba sya ng sandamakmak na queries?  Bakit nobody is taking in charge of this. But why it's taking them so long para makarespond man lang.  Hahalukayin pa ba sa files nila yun information? Kaya ganun katagal magconfirm??   Pero ang bilis nila magcharge ha nakaltasan na ako for what I purchased from them.  And whoever is responsible for selling that card got their commision already. I know hindi lang ako ang bumili nun at madami silang clients pero it's been a month and I got nothing.  ganun ba katagal magvalidate if the card is registered? Hallooo.. Sana sinabi nyo sa add na it will take forever to validate para di umaasa ang buyer,  Not even a proper response to my query.  It is not proper.  I think every week ako nagpafollow up and every reply I got are all the same which is adding to my frustration.

 

Di po ako naninira.  I purchased to this company dahil may tiwala ako sa kanila but I think they just burned it together with my hard earned money.  I felt robbed sa totoo lang.  After paying it wala na. Tapos na.  Pinag-ipunan ko po yun pera na yun.  Alam naman natin money is hard to come by.  Di ko po balak gamitin ang card na yun.  I bought it for financial assistance in times of need na wag naman na sana and as a customer I want clarity and clarification on your part as a big company na sana kahit small time lang ako eh you're paying attention to your clients.

I even tried calling their hotline 8582-1900 and wanted to talk to an agent but all I got is a drop call.  Nakakafrustrate lang. 😤 😤 Anyway, I hope di ganun kadami ang nasa sitwasyon ko.  I know di naman scammer ang kumpanyang eto and they are one of the biggest company sa Philippines.  They are just very poor in customer care. 😳 Kung alam ko lang that I will be in this kind of situation I would have opted for a different prepaid health care provider.

As a customer I deserve transparency po that is all I want.  MY LINE IS OPEN FOR ANY MAXICARE STAFF OR AGENT REGARDING THIS MATTER.

Hello mga Inay.

I want to share my daughters experience with Nutren Junior.  By now you know that my 7 year old is struggling to gain weight for quite some time now and the only solution to the problem is to add protein to her diet.  But she is a picky eater and I can't force her to eat meat and other source of protein plus the fact that she is lactose intolerant.  I've sourced the internet and bought a couple of milk to try, until I finally got a chance to try Nutren Junior.  We bought a small can last week and thank God she didn't vomit or had stomach upset and she like it.  Unfortunately the chocolate flavor wasn't available so we tried the vanilla instead.  She said the taste was ok.  I'm grad she like the taste.

I am keeping my hope on this one.  Since it has probiotics and prebiotic content plus this can really add nutritional support specially to under nourished kid.  Well, I consider my child under nourished because she is a picky eater and the only choice I have to supplement her nutrition is through milk.  It is a bit pricey though, like almost Php500 for a small can about 400g but I don't mind spending that much as long as it will help my kid grow up healthy and on her desired weight.

This afternoon I received a call from Globe Telecom representative, saying that my account is qualified for a free Globe Unlimited Internet Fiber Plan upgrade.  I was so happy because for the longest time that we waited for a fiber connection in our area finally they are offering it to me.  And mind you it is FREE OF CHARGE.  Yes, I kept on asking them if its FREE.  Ayoko kasi ng extra charges.  Nagtitipid ako.

So ayun. Our basic plan is the Globe Broadband Unlimited Bundle 1899 at 15mbps.  Now the offer was:

Di na ako nagpakipot pa kay Globe I immediately say YES.

Naisip ko lang dapat imbes na kung ano ano ang idagdag at ibawas na subject sa eskwelahan eh ituro sa bawat estudyanteng Pilipino ang pagiging Financial Literate ng sa gayon ay matutunan nila kung paano mamuhay sa totoong mundo.

Bakit?? Para mag-iba ang mindset nila.  Lage lang kasi sinasabi sa atin mag-aral kayong mabuti at pag nakatapos kayo ng pag aaral ay makakahanap kayo ng maayos na trabaho.  Pero sa totoo lang marami sa ating mamamayang Pilipino ang nakatapos ng pag-aaral pero hindi naman maganda ang swelo.  Oo maayos ang trabaho pero ang sweldo.  Kagaya ko isa akong Nurse na nagtratrabaho sa isang pribadong hospital dito sa Maynila.  Maganda ang trabaho?? Oo naman.  Maganda ba ang sweldo?? Ahem..  Quiet na lang.

Isa lang din ako sa libo libong empleyado na tumatanggap ng minimum wage.  Akala nyo siguro porket Nurse, may lisensya ay mataas na ang sinasahod ko?  Naku po.  Isa pong pagkakamali yan.  Mas malaki pa or kapantay lang ng sahod namin ang saleslady at service crew.  Di naman sila nagtake ng board exam at iba sa kanila di nagtapos ng 4-5 taon sa kolehiyo tama po ba?  Di ko po sila minamaliit, yun sweldo lamang po ang maliit.

Ngayon balik tayo sa topic.  Mostly sa atin ay may tinatanggap lamang na minimum wage sa isang buwan at sa totoo lang hindi eto sasapat sa gastusin natin.  Kaya nga sabi ko sana may Financial Literacy na subject nung nag aaral ako para alam ko kung ano pa ang mga pwede kong pagkakitaan maliban sa trabaho ko.

Sa subject na eto pwedeng ituro sa atin ang budgeting, saving tips, extra income tips at pag set sa utak natin na huwag tyo umasa sa minimum lamang.

Medyo matanda na ako bago ko to natutunan.  Pero huli man daw at magaling eh makakahabol din.  Makakaraos din.  At matutupad ko din ang goal ko.

Hello mga Inay.

I was sad pag uwi ko kasi nawawala ang favorite umbrella ko which is Fibrella.   Ilang buwan ko pa naman syang pinag ipunan.  Bah naman eh napakamahal kasi ng high quality umbrella ngayon.  Binili ko talaga sya last year kasi sabi ko sa sarili ko kahit mahal at least mapapakinabangan ko ng matagal at may warranty sya kaya anengganyo akong bilhin.  Ilang buwan pa lang sya sa akin at lage ko talagang iniingatan at nilalagay sa bag yun para di ko mawala.  Until kani kanina lang  I left it somewhere. Pauwi na ako nung mapansin kung wala na sya sa mga kamay ko. Baka nalaglag or gumulong.  Ilang beses akong nagpabalik balik sa mga pinuntahan ko and wala na doon ang pinakamamahal kong payong.  SHocks.  laking panghinhinayang ko talaga.

 

Sabi ko kasi iingatan ko sya.  Yun pala naiwala ko lang.  nadala na kasi ako mamili ng mumurahin.  Lage na lang nababali or tumutlo agad.  Kaya nung nagkaron ako ng extra case un branded na binili ko.  Unfortulately I lost it.  Isa lang masasabi ko  SAYANG..  OUCH talaga.  Hindi ko alam kung kelan ulit ako makakabili ng ganung payong.  Mukhang I'll settle for less na lang or sa mdaling sabi yun mumurahin para kahit anong mangyari eh di masakit sa loob at hindi masakit sa bulsa.

Hay.  Sobrang init pa naman sa labas.  Sunog ang feslak ko kng di ako magdadala ng payong.  Kung sino man ang may mabuting loob jan regaluhan nyo naman ako ng payong.

Kami nagspaghetti lang at syempre home made.   Tuwang tuwa ang mga fans ko dito sa bahay.  Lol.

Anyhow, my talk for today is paano makipag break? oh di ba swak na swak ngayong araw ng mga puso.  LOL.  Ibig ko sabhin magbreak even sa expenses.  Haha.

Naku isa eto sa mga dilemma of all time ko.  Di ko kasi magawang magbreak even paano ba naman isang source of income lang ang inaasahan namin.  May mga part time ako pero paminsan minsan lang.  Sa dami ng bayarin hindi sumasapat ang gastusin at income.  So paano talaga magbreak even?  Iniisip ko may loophole etong sitwasyon namin.  Hindi pwedeng mas malaki pa ang expenses sa income kundi super negative ang mangyayari.  In other words walang tira.  Which is unacceptable.  Paano na lang ang ipon?  Ang future kung lageng ganito mga Inay.

So dito pumapasok ang prinsipyong tipid tipid din.  Bawasan ang dapat bawasan like:

• kuryente - magtipid at bawasan ang pag gamit ng aircon
• groceries - bumili lamang ng kung ano ang kailangan.  Gumawa ng listahan
• online shopping - iwasan
• pagkain sa labas at pagmalling - iwasan din.

• credit card - kung walang pambayad, huwag gumamit. kundi mababaon ka lang.

Sa panahon ngayon mga Inay kung ang problema mo ay pera di ka nag iisa.  Kaya kailangan natin ng ibayon tipid at huwag umasa sa single income lang.  Hanggat maari tayo ay gumawa ng paraan para tayo ay mabuhay ng komportable at matiwasay.

Hello mga Inays.

Nakwento ko na sa inyo na pumasyal kami sa SM Hypermart nung weeked.  Yun kasi ang pinakamalapit na mall dito sa amin.  So ayun naligaw ako sa appliance department at since kailangan ko sya eh napabili ako. SALE sya mga Inay. From Php499 ay Php399 na lang ang Hanabishi Flat Iron.  Napakalightweight nya at smooth.  Kaya sempre tuwang tuwa ako ayoko yata ng mabibigat na plantsa.  Dahil nastress ako pag mabigat eh napapagod ako kaagad.

Nung ginamit ko na sya grabee ang smooth at napakasarap na magplantsa.hehehe.  Buti na lang binili ko na sya.

Napakawitty ng anak ko sa edad nya alam nyang nakakataba ang ice cream.  Wala lang natuwa lang ako.

Hello mga Inay.

I happened to pass by at SSS Alimall Cubao this afternoon due to some errands.  And I asked some information regarding my previous salary loan last 2018.  Thankfully the lady was so polite and explain to me everything. 

She said, all I have to do is fill up the form and submit it to an SSS Branch near me.  The assessor will help me adjust my monthly payables in order for me to settle the full amount.

Oh well, ang hirap ng may utang.  And besides it is but my duty and obligation to settle it kasi ako naman ang gumamit nun at syempre para sa future dahil di mo alam kung kelan mo ulit kakailanganin  mag loan.

Di ko lang alam kung magkano na ang aabuting interest nun but hopefully ma adjust pa sya.

By the way mga Inay sa SSS website lang ako nag apply ng loan ko at kinlaim ko lang sya sa accounting namin nung akoy employed pa.  

Nga pala sa mas maganda kung sa internet explorer nyo sya buksan.  Dahil un ibang menu di nakikita sa Google Chrome or Firefox ewan ko kung bakit.

Kayo mga Inay meron din ba kayong unsettled SSS Loan??

 Wag po kayong mahiyang pumunta sa main branch para mahinto na yun paglaki ng interes nya.  Para rin maiwasan ang pagkakaron nyo ng problema sa future.

Hello mga Inay.

This morning I was wondering why my daughter kept on scratching her head.  She often complained about how itchy it is.  Especially when she is in class.  So before she go to school this morning I used the small tiny comb or suyod.  And I was shocked.  Because she has lice.  Hay naku nakakaloka mga Inay.

My daughter is 7 years old and I know here in the Philippines head lice is very common among her age group.  I am not sure where did that parasite came from.  Basta masarap sila tirisin.  Anyhoo.  I immediately go to the drugstore and purchase some shampoo to get rid of lice.  

I bought Oilganics, licealiz and kwell.  Let's see which one is effective. 

May problema din ba kayo sa kuto?

 

Hello mga Inay.

Nabahala lang ako sa eksena ngayon sa Manila Bay madaming mga tao, bata man o matanda ang walang patumanggang naliligo dito.  Guys oo maganda at malinis na sya pero makininig sana tayo.  Di pa ho SAFE maligo sa Manila Bay.    Baka magkasakit lang ho kayo sa ginagawa nyo.  Imaginin nyo nagsiswimming kayo sa dumi na di nyo nakikita.   Mataas pa ang coliform level ng tubig.  Madami pang dumi ang di naalis jan dahil tuloy tuloy pa din ang ang agos ng mga ilog na na nagkokonek jan.  At di lang yun, yung lupa mismo ng dagat ay may bahid pa ng dumi.  Napakalaking hazard po eto lalo na kung may maliliit pong mga bata.  Pwede kayong magkasakit sa balat, magtae at madami pang iba lalo na kung makakainom kayo ng tubig.

Tandaan natin mahirap at mahal magkasakit.  Di ako kill joy.  OO kaaya aya at nanghahalina ang dalampasigan ngayon lalo na at walang mga basura.  Pero imbes na maligo kayo tumulong na lang po kayo na pag ibayuhin pa ang pagpapanatili na malinis ang ating kapaligiran.  At pag nangyari yun mas lulusog pa at sisigla ang Manila Bay.

At please lang wag muna kayong kumain ng seafood na huli jan sa Manila Bay baka sumakit pa ang inyong mga tiyan.  Huwag naman po sanang matigas ang ulo lalo na at magsasummer paulit ulit naman po kayong pinapaalalahanan na di pa pwede.  Pag kayo po ang nagkasakit ay kayo na rin po ang may gusto nun.  Gusto nyo po bang maging pasakit sa mga ka anak nyo?  Buti po sana kung lahat may pera pero kung wala din po ay isa etong malaking problema.

I enjoy nyo na lang ang view at lalong lalo ang sunset.

Hello mga Inay.  

Kong Hei Fat Choi

Today February 4, 2019 Tuesday is the Year of the PIG.  It is Chinese New Year and it is widely celebrated all over the world.  Kahit hindi Chinese nakikisabay sa pagsalubong.  pati nga nanay ko eh naghanda at nag offer pa ng fruits.  Oh di ba?  pati tradition nila nakiki uso na din tayo.  And I know mga iba dyan bumili pa ng trinkets and charms sa Binondo.  Wala namang masama di ba?  As long as it makes us happy and makes us hopeful that tomorrow will be a better day.

For today, I will write my wish list muna.  Wala pa kasi akong pambili ng mga bagay bagay na eto.  Kumbaga I am aiming and saving pa kasi di naman sila needs they are basically wants and as a mother I am dreaming to have this one because I know kahit papano mapapagaan neto ng kaunti ang buhay ko. Lol.

1. Panasonic Eco Navi Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - Napanood ko ang review neto sa youtube at talagang napahanga ako di lang sa laki nya kundi sa power saving capability nya.  Ang gamit kasi namin ngayon for 8 years now ay ang Condura personal refrigerator namin.  Ok naman sya.  Kaso lang sobrang liit nya.  Tiis ganda muna sya.  Pwede pa naman sya eh.

2. LG Fully Automatic Washing Machine - Nung napadaan ako sa SM nakita ko to at grabe nainlove ako sa kanya.  Medyo affordable kasi at sabi dun eh energy saver daw sya.  Oh di ba pak na pak, lalo na kung sobrang dami ng labada.   At take note may dryer na sya.  Parang wash and leave ang emote so madami akong magagawa habang naglalaba sya kasi di na ako magmanual.. Di naman sa tamad lang kailangan lang ng upgrade.   Un old washing machine namin ay Hanabishi at sobrang tibay nya hands off ako dito 2004 ko pa yata to nabili. 15 years na sya kung tutuusin.  Medyo nagbabadya na sya ng retirement kasi un mga nob nya minsan di na nag-auto pero as usual habang pwede pa eh di go.  Wag muna syang mag retire completely kasi wala pa akong pambili.

3. Lagermania or Hanabishi Oven - Actually mga Inay, I am a frustrated baker. Lols.  Ewan ko kahit di ako marunong eh nasisiyahan ako tuwing nagbibake ako.  Gusto din naman ng mga tao un nabibake ko o wala lang silang choice. haha.  Ang gamit ko ay stove top manual oven at meron syang thermometer para malaman ko yun heat sa loob.  Sabi ko sa sarili ko one of these days magkakaron ako neto.  Isa to sa pinag iipunan ko.

So ayun, mangangarap muna ako ng gising.  Sana bago mag year 2020 nakabili na ako ng kahit isa man lang sa mga eto.

Pagbubutihan ko pa ang aking saving power.  At gagawa pa ako ng paraan para dumami ang income stream ko.
