Goree Whitening Product - The Desire to be white

Let's admit it, almost 90% Filipinos want to have white skin.  There is nothing wrong with that.  But we have these notion that  having white/fair skin will help us make look beautiful.  Maybe, we just want to be in, or boost our self esteem to save ourselves from bullying or prying eyes that our skin color is ugly.

Whitening products especially on cosmetics are among the highest trend world wide.  That is why a lot of companies are taking advantage of the situation because of this multi billion empire that some but not all claims to be effective but some are just for a show and for commercial purposes.  I am thinking that some bloggers are not just compensated to review their products but to promote it as well to gain boosts in sale.

So let me tell you,  I was appalled when I watched Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho earlier today.  It was about a certain whitening products that causes major allergic reactions to its users.  It was really scary and disturbing especially if it involves allergic reactions or anaphylactic shock.  And if not treated immediately this fan be fatal.  Some even got hospitalized and was unfortunately confined in ICU because of the severe effects of these products.

The show tackled about these Goree Whitening product that can be easily purchased online and to other beauty counters world wide.  These products are claimed counterfeit and fake according to the original manufacturer that is based in Pakistan.  Nevertheless the test of the certain products appears to be a high in mercury contents.  As we all know mercury is a highly toxic chemical that not poison us but I think it causes cancer as well.  A high amount of these product will cause fatality to its users.  The wish to have flawless skin and beautiful face will lead to your deathbed.

These are the pictures that I've got online:

Thankfully some of the major site here in the Philippines removed the said product for public safety.  To each and everyone of us let us be cautious about the products that we are going to use because some products can ruin our skin and the worst our face.  And sometimes it is hard to bring it back.

Are you one of their victims too? I hope there will be help line aside from the FDA to help these poor consumers.

Keep safe..

Haul: Watsons

Last weekend during my day off I decided to window shop at SM Hypermart near Tiendisitas when I saw Watson's and decided to check what's new. I was hoping that there will be a sale r maybe I can find a good buy.   So I scanned their aisle and just look for something.  Not really thinking of buying anything. Because it's not yet payday and I am on a budget.  Then I remember the face cream that one beauty v logger is bragging about so I decided to buy it.  And try it for myself.  First of all, I put the seoul white korea face cream in my hand to see how does it suits my skin.  And I want to see its consistency.  Luckily, it was a matte finish and its not cakey even if it is in color white.  It glides easily.  That's why I bought it.  And the product is really affordable and promising.  I bought the ones in sachets. I will update soon and write review about my experience.  If truly they will give me instant whitening effect.

By the way here are my hauls and its prices.

Before the 2018 school year begin, I decided to check out what Divimart Pasig has to offer.  I am planning to haul for  my daughters school needs.  I think I am eyeing on Divimart Pasig because its cheaper and near our place than going to the malls where the price are so steep.  So one lazy afternoon on my day off we decided to check out the place.  It is my 2nd time there and I am just in awe of their merchandise.  There are a wide array to choose from and it is air conditioned so there is no trouble walking or just checking because you will not swear, the place is also big the 1st floor is the groceries and the 2nd floor is all about general merchandise.

Truly Divimart Pasig did not disappoint me at all. There are a lot of school supplies and so much more in a very reasonable price.  There is also a membership card that you can avail for free which will let you earn points as you shop.

All you need is a globe/touch mobile sim card.  Each time you reload your mobile phone Globe gives you a reward points that you can use to avail of a free services.  So if you are not using it you might have acquire a big reward points by now.  If you don't have an app yet just click this link Globe Rewards.  Don't worry downloading is free.  Then after downloading you can now view how many points you can exchange for a promo.  Or if you want you can use this code *143# then look for Rewards.

I often redeem my rewards whenever I don't want to reload just yet.  These are the frequent codes that I used 1.) FB1d - meaning I can have a free FB browsing for 1 day and 2.) How to pay your utility bills using GCASH

GCASH is the new e wallet that is available at your own convenience, it is powered by Globe Telecom. One of the leading provider here in the Philippines.

GCASH has a lot of things to offer to its consumer like paying your bills, reloading, money transfer and buying movie tickets, you can also use it to buy load for your beep card and some online transaction and others.

Actually, I am now into this kind of wallet.  I am now funding my GCASH so I can pay for my utility bills and of course loading my mobile phone, and paying for my groceries at my favorite Puregold supermarket.  I was adamant at first because I not a techy person, I was afraid that my money will get lost in the process or I might be thinking that I already paid the bills and they did not pay it to the merchant and I am more into going to the bayad centers or establishment to settle my bills.  But because of the traffic and heat and the lack of time when beating the due date I am now converted to using the GCASH wallet.  It turns out it is more convenient and aside from that I am enjoying the rebates. :D

As a frugal mom, who doesn't want that?  Even if my rebates are small at least they gave back right?

Before you get enticed, first things first you need a Globe simcard or Touch mobile sim card and a data to upload GCASH app at the appstore.  After uploading, install it to your mobile phone and voila.  You now have a GCASH app.  But wait that doesn't end there.  You have to activate it by sending your picture and your ID and a GCASH agent will call your mobile phone for verification.  From there your number will get verified and you can now Cash in or cash out.  Cashing -In is like depositing money to your GCASH account.  While Cashing-Out is withdrawing money from you GCASH account when somebody sends you money or when you want to get your money if you want it cold cash.  It will now serve as your virtual wallet.  Where your transaction is literally cashless all you need is your phone with data so you can access your account anytime.

For me, I usually Cash-In at 7-11 because I don't pay anything even if I place Php5000.00 that is the maximum amount that I cashed in so far.  That is my allotted budget for my utilities each month.  Some times I just add up some more if I want to do my groceries.

Now that you have money on your GCASH you can now transact virtually.  You can now pay your bills or other utilities.  I've paid my Meralco, Manila Waters, Globe, all you need is your account number.  You just make it sure to pay on or before your due date or they will not accept it anymore.  I haven't tried paying my credit cards through this just yet because my dues is kinda hefty and I usually pay in the banks.  But if you want you can use the app to pay it as well.  After the transaction there is an option to e-mail you the transaction record because they don't issue receipts. So I suggest you do so at the same time I screenshot my transaction for record purposes.

The great part about this is you will get rebates from paying through them.  So thumbs up for that.

What about you are you a GCASH User?  Tell me how you are using it?
