Nakakatakot talaga lalo na at mataas ang banta ng Covid 19.  Di ko na sya dinala sa Pedia kasi nga mahirap na at baka makasagap pa doon ng sakit.  Una nagkasinat sya at nag tepid sponge bath na ako.  Nung madaling araw na dun na tumaas ang temperature nya nag 38.7 na sya kaya pinainom ko na sya ng Tempra (Paracetamol)  Tapos pinainom ko sya madaming water at pinunasan ko ng malamig na bimpo.  Iyon ang pinaka first na dapat gawin pag naglagnat ang bata.  Punasan ng basang basahan at tuyuin.  Saka suotan ng preskong damit para makalabas ang init ng katawan nya.  Dapat mag 37.8 degrees celcius muna ang temperature bago magpainom ng Paracetamol.  Same applies sa adult.  Di talaga advisable uminom ng Paracetamol ng walang lagnat or pain ang bata or adult.  Tandaan gamot eto at hindi dapat basta basta umiinom o nagpapainom ng gamot.

 

Kinaumagahan nagpunta ako ng drugstore para bumili ng Vivalyte, Tempra (Paracetamol) dahil ubos na ang aming stock at kumuha na din ako ng Tempra Cool Touch for kids dahil mas maigi na iyon kesa sa basang basahan na ilalagay ko sa noo nya. Dahil sa likot ng anak ko eh nadidislodge lang ang bimpo.

Product Review: Nagstick naman sya agad pero wala pang 30minutes nadetach na sya ng kusa.  Di ko alam kung ganun ba talaga kasi yun ibang cooling pad na gamit ko noon ay ako mismo nagtatanggal at makapit sa balat pero eto yun pad mismo ang natanggal.  Kaya naglagay na naman ako ng panibago.  So yun lang naman ang feedback ko madali syang matanggal pero it serve its purpose naman.

Since my baby turned 1 year old.  She became a picky eater.  She only ate 1 spoon of rice and some viand.  She hardly eats fruits she only ate watermelon, ponkan and kiatkiat the rest she spits it out. She ate only biscuits. She often accompanied meal time with play time. When I fed her all the food are on the floor.  Sometimes its frustrating all the wasted food and not only that the nutrition was supposed to be ingested and not gone to waste. 

 

But I don't fret anymore because we change her milk into Lactum.  As the commercial says it  100% Panatag ka with Lactum because they hel provide 100% Nourishment.  It is cheaper also than other brands.  Toddler stage is a very difficult stage.  This is the stage where they are super active and full of energy.  This stage also is one of the growth spurts happened and this is the time where they became the boss.

Me and my baby are constantly struggling with gaining weight.  My 1 year old toddler is kinda underweight for her age.  We have weight issues since she was born.  Now she is just 8.3kg.  Her pedia says she should weight at least 10kg for her age.  She takes 2 types of vitamins per day the one with zinc and cheriffer.  I also added Scott's emulsion cod liver oil to boost her immune system cause she often get cough and cold.

 

Her pedia recommended either heraclene or cell life but it didn't work for her to be mixed with her bottle.  She also started to be a picky eater.  She hardly eats rice or cerelac in a day.  She don't like bread.  She only ate 1 cookie and the rest she mushed with her hand and just play with it.  She only ate Ponkan and kiat kiat ( a version of mini ponkan)  But she really wants calamansi juice.

 

So here is my solution on how will I increase her weight I mixed "am" with her milk.  "Am" - in the Philippines is ground rice cooked as a porridge.  What I did is I put 4 scoops of ground rice + 2 1/2cup water.  I cooked for like 20minutes medium heat with continuous mixing.   This can make at least 6 bottles. Afterwards I put 3oz of am every bottle.  Then when she wants milk I just dilute it with 3oz water level and 3 scoops of milk (scoops depends on the recommended feeding)

 

btw, her milk is grow and lactum for 1 year old.

I bought this Giga Baby insect repellant spray last month for more or less 100.00php  And to be honest I am satisfied with this product.  You see my baby has an allergy pertaining to mosquito bites it turns black right away and it takes a while before it will fade.  And the dengue season is here so I decided to purchase this at a kiosk in Market2 Mall.  It has a tangy smell.  A smell of a grass but mind you mosquito didn't get near my baby.  The bad side is it has only a few hours effect so you need to reapply again.  Now the only problem I have left was the marks the pesky mosquito left my baby.  But the derma said it will fade out when she grew up meaning it will really take a while.  Anyhow, I am thankful I bought this one.  I was constantly looking for an insect repellant that is deet free and of course made for baby and I finally found one.

Just the other day 2 of our neighbors got hospitalize because of dengue one is a child the other one is an adult.  Fortunately they found out earlier about the case.  After 2 days of fever they rushed the patient to a nearby hospital.. As a mom and aunt I am scared for the well being of my nieces and of course my 6months old baby.  I fret every time a mosquito bite my baby.  It also leaves an unsightly black marks that makes me mad.  And whenever a mosquito bit her she cries a lot.  Now we have a DIY project of putting screens in our doors and windows.  We don't want to be a victim of dengue nor a victim of a mosquito bites.

Found these remedies on Google search.

garlic- cut a clove in half and rub onto mosquito bites.

apple cider vinegar- pour a small amount on cotton ball and rub it on bites. you may need 2 or 3 applications.

banana skin- rub the bites with the inside of banana peel.

baking soda- mix baking soda with water to a paste consistency and rub paste over the bites.

medicated gold bond powder or lotion- apply to mosquito bites.

This is me and my daughter using the bebeta 6way carrier in light blue.  My daughter loves it esp when we go out.  She has the chance in peeking out other stuff outside.. hehehe..

Since I became pregnant my pimple start appearing and I don't know how to cure them.  I stopped all sorts of treatments, facial cleanser, toner and creams.  I've got all sorts of stuff in my face.  I felt ugly and hideous.  Got a lot of whiteheads and pimples.  It's horrific.  Maybe its due to the hormones and diet.  

I don't know what else to do.  I wanna feel and looked beautiful again like before.

I'm still searching for a natural miracle.  Temporarily,  I am using Neutrogena deep clean facial wash and sunblock.  I don't use much make up nor powder.  People all around the web are suggesting stuffs to use but I am cautious maybe I'll try them after I gave birth.  I promise to pamper myself more after I gave birth.  I got 5 months more.  I can hold on to that.

So all the ladies who are pregnant out there.  How do you deal with this pimples?  Such a pain.. arrgh..

June 2011, I finally got the courage to visit my gynecologist. Me and bf are planning to have a child and we want to make sure that everything is perfect and in good condition.. My gynecologist do the routine pap smear and pelvic exam.  Btw girls my gynecologist is so nice and lovely I am s open to her about anything and she gladly assist and answer me each time.  Her PF is only 400 php.  But the test are a bit expensive the pap smear cost me 500php and the vaginal ultrasound cost me 850php..  That's a lot of money for someone who has no job like me.  I am dependent solely with bf as of the moment.  I know its sad but I am hanging there.  After a few seconds gynecologist interpret the ultrasound and she said that my reproductive organ are perfectly healthy and in good shape there's no need to worry..  I was so happy and yet confused If I am perfectly healthy how come I can't conceive that easily.  Bf often told me its not yet time.  Let's just wait in Gods time.  If he give us the we shall have.  Well I guess it's not easy to have and make a baby..  It's not as easy as 1, 2, 3...  My gynecologist prescribed a medication to help me ovulate and she said to wait till I have my period and after a week I'll come back to get the result of my pap smear..

After a week I returned to get my pap smear and guess what I have a Bacterial vaginosis.. How in the world did I get such a thing.  As a nurse I know that it isn't STD but still it is an infection and it can do harm to a baby once she passed the birth canal and caused oral thrush and conjunctivitis in neonate.  I don't wanna have that in my future child.  So she prescribed a medication again..  I waited till my period..  I wanna make sure before I take medications of any sorts that I am not pregnant..

It was first week of July 2011 that I noticed something is wrong with my period.  My period became so light like a spoon per day.  I was frantic.  I am 33 years old and I used to have a hyperthyroidism when I was young and not only that I was underweight.  I asked myself if this could be an early sign of menopause.  Bf told me to relax and he often said let's try again next month.  He thought me not to give up.  Imagine the frustrations I had each month since we live together and each month my period never fails to visit me.. Geez..    There is too much in my mind..

I visited the gynecologist again and do some test once again, the gynecologist broke the news that I have UTI or urinary tract infection and she told me that I am not ovulating..  So I cried..  She said to come back and redo the test again after a week.  I am frustrated again.. It was heartbreaking...  I suffered..  I prayed hard and try to live a healthy life..

Then the good news came after a week... i had a transvaginal ultrasound again and we found out I was six weeks pregnant.  I was shocked. Imagine the gynecologist told me I wasn't ovulating and now there is a six week fetus in my tummy with a heartbeat already.  I was happy amidst m disbelief and shock.

Now I am on my 18weeks... so cheers everyone and have faith.  This baby is truly a blessing and an additional to our family..  Baby dust to all..
