How to get rid of head lice?? Kuto pa more..

Hello mga Inay.

This morning I was wondering why my daughter kept on scratching her head.  She often complained about how itchy it is.  Especially when she is in class.  So before she go to school this morning I used the small tiny comb or suyod.  And I was shocked.  Because she has lice.  Hay naku nakakaloka mga Inay.

My daughter is 7 years old and I know here in the Philippines head lice is very common among her age group.  I am not sure where did that parasite came from.  Basta masarap sila tirisin.  Anyhoo.  I immediately go to the drugstore and purchase some shampoo to get rid of lice.

I bought Oilganics, licealiz and kwell.  Let's see which one is effective.

May problema din ba kayo sa kuto?

SOMETHING NEW| The Manila Bay Craze

Tandaan natin mahirap at mahal magkasakit.

My 2019 Year of the Pig Wish List

Hello mga Inay.

Kong Hei Fat Choi

Today February 4, 2019 Tuesday is the Year of the PIG.  It is Chinese New Year and it is widely celebrated all over the world. And I know mga iba dyan bumili pa ng trinkets and charms sa Binondo.  Wala namang masama di ba?  As long as it makes us happy and makes us hopeful that tomorrow will be a better day.

For today, I will write my wish list muna. Kumbaga I am aiming and saving pa kasi di naman sila needs they are basically wants and as a mother I am dreaming to have this one because I know kahit papano mapapagaan neto ng kaunti ang buhay ko. Lol.

Ang gamit kasi namin ngayon for 8 years now ay ang Condura personal refrigerator namin.  Ok naman sya.  Kaso lang sobrang liit nya.  Tiis ganda muna sya.  Pwede pa naman sya eh.

At take note may dryer na sya.  Parang wash and leave ang emote so madami akong magagawa habang naglalaba sya kasi di na ako magmanual.. Un old washing machine namin ay Hanabishi at sobrang tibay nya hands off ako dito 2004 ko pa yata to nabili. 15 years na sya kung tutuusin.  Medyo nagbabadya na sya ng retirement kasi un mga nob nya minsan di na nag-auto pero as usual habang pwede pa eh di go.  Wag muna syang mag retire completely kasi wala pa akong pambili.

3. Lagermania or Hanabishi Oven - Actually mga Inay, I am a frustrated baker. Lols.

So ayun, mangangarap muna ako ng gising.

Hopefully.

O sya mga Inay kayo ano ba ang New Years Wish List nyo??

When the going gets tough

Image result for tough

Today, I feel like I am in a battlefield of life once again.  Life is testing me.  I felt so weak especially at times like this.  It is the 1st quarter of the year and I as a mother is being tested.  My rationale in life is so dark its so hard to pull through.I have to fight this and I have to be tough because there is a little one depending on me.

This predicament started Wednesday January 30th, 2018 after school we did some errands and buy our food.  That evening I can sense that she has itchy throat.  Thursday morning I told her don't go to school because she is a bit warm, later that afternoon her temp shoot up to 39 and now started coughing.  Thankfully its not an asthma attack but we put her on nebulizer to loosen the secretion that evening she sneezed a lot and the mucus came out. But the fever came on and off.  The next day Friday her fever is gone and she requested to play with her friends.  I supervised her because I don't want her to get tired.  They just played drawing and writing.  Evening came and she doesn't have the appetite anymore and is now complaining of tummy ache.  And the fever comes back.  Geez.  These made me break down.  Because I am scared of that stomach ache.  And she too is scared about it.  We still remember that due to that tummy ache she spent 5 days at the hospital due to severe vomiting.

I offered her small frequent meal.and sips of water.  I don't want to be too pushy on her because she is not feeling well and I might aggravate the situation.  Tomorrow if this will persist we will visit her doctor.

I am hoping that this is just viral. The weather may be adding a bit.  It's too cold outside especially at night time.

I hope this fever and cough and tummy ache will leave her alone.

How to get rid of your BACNE?

Hello mga inay.

I just want to share with you my horror BACNE Story.

For some people out there who doesn't know what BACNE  is.  It is what you call Back Acne.  Some people may experience not only having acne on their face but it also runs through their back.  Other have it mostly on their shoulder.

I am not the type who often look at my back but lately I can feel some bumps and it becomes itchy, so one afternoon after my bath I checked what was going on with my back and to my dismay I've seen a horrifying site.  It was awful.  Being a woman with BACNE is crucial.  Ladies, you know what I mean?

I immediately analyze what had happened that cause this. And this is my conclusion.  I frequently ate fried foods, I drink less water, slept late and I change the soap that we've been using for years.

Now that I know the culprits of this I am now trying to eliminate them and start to change my lifestyle bits by bits.  And after a couple of days, I can see that its clearing up.

Then I added a regimen.  I scrubbed my back with baking soda and my favorite safeguard with Tawas.

I hope my tips is beneficial to you.

INVESTMENT| ATRAM Peso Money Market Fund via GCash

Image result for atram fund

Hello mga Inay.

Recently GCash launched their brand new investment program which is the ATRAM Peso Money Market Fund.  As a GCash user I was very happy because they opened their doors to this kind of investment.  I mean there are no FA who will bother you and insist on the products or the insurance that you want to avail.  They will give you a questionnaire on what type of risk appetite do you have and by reading their terms and you agreed on that you can start investing.  At napaka convenient neto mga Inay as little as Php50  pwede ka ng mag invest click click lang sa GCash app mo as long as my pera ka sa GCash.

GCash ATRAM will send you an email regarding some information, rules and other things that you have to know.  Availing such services doesn't guarantee that you will get rich quick by this kind of method.  Of course

Invest at your own risk.

The Art of Budgeting

Hello mga Inay.

How's your budgeting skills?? For me I am poor at it. Or should I say wala lang talaga akong budget sa mga bagay bagay.

I am proposing that this subject should be taught in school especially on our growing up years.  Because this will be very beneficial on how are we going to set aside our income to attain our financial independence later on in our life.  Do you agree??

When I was growing up I was told to study hard, find a job and work hard.  But up until today I am working hard and nothing is happening.  I can't afford mortgages that is why I am not getting any.  I can't afford travels.  I don't even have luxury.  As I am always practical. Tiis tiis ika nga.

Money is hard to earn but easily spent.  Budgeting for me is very tedious.  Especially that we have limited income.  People suggest that I should increase my cash flow.  Our salary increase this year mind you.  But still there are a lot of expenses and I don't know how to manage them.  Every end of the month the bills just kept on piling.

There are a lot of peso saving tips online.  But due to limited resources I just stick to what I can afford.  I have a coin bank where our loose coins go immediately and our bill bank where I put extra bill on hand.

The idea is of course ideal if you can save so much then at the end of the year you will get a hefty amount.  As of the moment we are practicing the discipline of it.  I am but wishing that our expenditures will be lower than last month in order for us to cope with our income.

I am just curious how people manage to save so much when they have little income. The price of their fish is no different from ours.  geez.

My sentiments exactly.

Here are our monthly expenses:

Groceries - Php4500.00
Palengke - Php 4000.00
Allowance - Php 2000.00
Tuition - Php 2000.00
Electricity - Php 3500.00
Internet - Php2000.00
Water - Php 300
Loan - Php1900.00

Planning my daughters Kiddie Party on a budget

Hello luvies.

In a days time my daughter will turn 7 years old.  As a mom, I wanted to give her the most unforgettable birthday experience that she will treasure for the rest of her life and surely not break the bank.  Not that we have a bank to break in the first place. LOL.

I've been thinking a lot of party ideas, location, food and suppliers that is just on the budget.  As I do these I've been spending quite a lot of time researching.  As I do these it caused me stress and disappointment.  Because in order for her birthday to be executed the way I wanted entails a hefty amount of money.  And that is something we do not have. MONEY.

I realized that there are a lot of mommies who are in the same boat as I am.  Birthday parties need not be grand.  All we need is good food and entertainment.

I am estimating 40-50 guests kids and adults.

I computed the budget if we do it DIY style.

Location - sa tapat ng bahay. Pag nag rent naman kami mga P2000-P3000
Food - Lutong ni Inay Menu: Spaghetti, Chicken, mini-cakes, juice. P???
Tables and chairs rental - P1200
Baloons - P1000
Entertainment: Naku eto ang madugo P3000 just for clowns PF
Souvenirs/Prizes -P5000

LOL.

So think.. think pa ang drama..

Almost all fastfood in the Philippines got it covered.

I am thinking of

1. Jolibee
2. Shakeys
3.Calle Preciosa

They are offering birthday packages that are pretty reasonable.  I might be leading through these Fastfood.

GOALS 2019

Hello luvies.

Year 2018 is almost over.  It has been a roller coaster ride.  One thing is for sure I still did not achieve most of my goals and aspiration though I've been working my butt out.  Maybe because I was not at the proper place.  Oh well.  This year I have so must to be thankful for and next year I have so much to look forward to.  I am hopeful.

Before 2018 end I will list my GOALS for 2019.  I will  list them as I want to unlock it 1 by 1.

  1. To be debt free - eto ang pinaka una kung aayusin starting now.   My finances is in jeopardy.  It's because our resources are very limited.  No matter how hard I work our income do not make ends meet.  So I don't have enough savings to do and buy what I want.  Our salary always end up with Judith (due date) and Billy (bills).  Haay buhay..
  2. To increase my income - I guess in order to achieve this I have to add another source of income.  Having a full time job doesn't suffice at all.  So I need another avenue which is sales, this requires a part time only but offer so much more.  So help me God.
  3. Make a Passive income -   I will make this income a must.  Can you imagine earning money while you sleep?? Who wouldn't want that?? Almost all of us here in the Philippines work 8-12 hours a day and earning only P15,000-20,000 a month.  Can you imagine too much work too little pay?  The sad part is that if you will not work you will not be paid.  Sad life..  Now how will I make these.  There are so much avenue in this one but mind you this is not for the faint of heart.  Everything needs hard work.  If you have this one you are one of the few who unlock one of the keys to financial freedom.  Let's work hand in hand with this one.
  4.  To have a BIG SAVINGS - Need not say more.  If I have big savings I will not worry that much about tomorrow.  Oh di ba??
  5. To ATTAIN FINANCIAL FREEDOM
You might ask me.  Bakit walang travel goals??  Gustuhin ko man nga mga kapatid parang di naman attainable yun at the moment. It can wait naman.  Who knows my career in sales will give me a piece of this one.  Cross finger.  All I need for now is to believe in myself.  And take actions on my dreams.  I have to be someone.  I have to attain something in this life.  YOLO nga di ba?  You only live once.  I kept on thinking I don't want to die poor.  Because if I do it is my fault.  My parents sent me to school to be the best that I can be.  I don't want to be a disappointment.  I want to show them that I cannot  just support myself but also them.

I will unlock this 1 by 1.  I know it will not be easy.  But I know it will be so worth it.

How about you? Have you listed your goals for 2019?? Let's share thoughts.

AIDE APP Professional Review

Hello luvies.

Today, I just want to share my experience in applying as an AIDE Professional.  As you all know, I am a former Operating Room Nurse who is now jobless.  And being jobless at this time of the year is not a good idea.  Sad life..  I am not saying that being a jobless for an entire year is a good one either. LOLS.

As a mother and a home maker it is very difficult to make all ends meet.  There are a lot of financial obligation.  In short Bills (bill) and Judith (due date) never failed to visit each month.  No matter how much hard you hide, you have no other choice but to face them.

Oh well.

So, what I did was to look for an alternative way of earning and having the job that I wanted.  Sa kakalkal ko ng Instagram account ko I came accross Ms Iya Villania's Post and Ms Isabelle Daza's, and now Ms Isabel Oli-Pratts post about how satisfied they are about the services.  Ang ginawa ko nag dm ako sa @aideapp if tumatanggap sila ng part timer and thankfully they replied.

I immediately signed up and met one of their associates last Saturday to submit the requirements and screening of applicants. Just now I paid for the membership access for P500 good for 3 months only.  They have a promo up until January I think.

Someone from their company will send me my login details.  All I have to do is wait.

let's cross fingers mga colleagues.  I hope to find some bookings soon.  I will keep all of you updated.

AIDE app is a newly app launched here in the Philippines I think last year to help people in need of Professionals like Doctors, Nurses, Med Tech, Physical Therapist, Caregiver right at the comfort of your home.  They also offer services such as pet grooming as well.  Mostly, these clients don't need to have a full time job they just need someone to look after someone they love that is why AIDE Professional come to help.

If you want to book for services you can download the app here.  If you want to be an AIDE Professional like me, you can download the app here.

USANA Philippines

I've got the privilege to be invited by one of the Directors of USANA Philippines.  She toured me around their business center and their office. I kind of feel like a VIP because I was her only guest that day and she actually offered me to join her team.  I am so happy that someone like her status believe in my capabilities.

Honestly speaking I've never heard of USANA Products before, until she talked about it.  I was in awe about what the products can do not only on the physical well being or health per se but  someone can actually earn from it.  Can you imagine you can get a rebate or commission when you purchased their product?  Not only that, when you become a member you'll get loads of discounts.  Who wouldn't love that?  Of course, everybody.  Aside from that you can make it your own business.

Their company are offering the GOAL that I am pursuing in life. That is:
  1.  Financial Freedom
  2. Being my own boss
  3. Time
  4. Travel for free
Grabeee... In my almost 5 years in my Nursing profession I rarely have time nor the budget to do anything I want.  I am one of those people who are leaving from paycheck to paycheck.  I am not tired of my job.  I love it dearly, as you all know people in my profession go to abroad to pursue these kind of dreams.  To earn big.  While there are some companies like USANA Philippines that are offering the same yet you get to stay here in the Philippines.

The offer is so lovely yet I am torn. Mainly because my visa will be coming out anytime soon secondly I don't know where to start in USANA.  The Director who will be my life coach and mentor will show me how.

Let's keep it positive.

Eye Level C. Raymundo Pasig City Review

Today me and my daughter went to Eye Level to have her English Skills assessed, at her age of 6 years old she cannot read 3 letter word at all unless she can see the picture.  She is in Grade 1 now and as a mother I find it difficult for her especially in her workbook.  She just understand things if it has a picture in it.  I tried to teach her but we end up fighting and I end up nagging.  That is why me and my partner decided to enroll her in a tutorial session.  But looking for one is extremely difficult mainly because of the time and of course the budget.

Though her school offers a tutorial, we opt for something else outside of it because she spent 70% of her life in school, I was thinking of a different approach and a different environment as well.  What I did was consult my dear friend Google to look for reviews, suggestion and promos.

Then, I finally decided to give Eye Level a try. Firstly the location - its just a 10minute commute to and from our house,  it is very near from Puregold where I do my grocery shopping and secondly the flexible schedule.  My daughter's class is from 12noon to 5:30 pm daily and the only available schedule for her  is Saturday.  Aside from that she can adjust her schedule if she don't have a regular class on that day.  We just have to inform the center.

Luckily, we find a match.

I inquired through phone prior to visiting them. And immediately they assessed my daughter, she is at Level2 B3.  At her grade she was supposed to be in B7 or B8 I think.  But she is kind of delay.  That is why we seek help. We want to enhance her learning skills, so she will not be left behind in her school.

They have a learning module for every child's need, booklet and manuals are included in the payment.  The price is reasonable. They offer 8 session of 45minutes to 1 hour per session each month for only Php 1980.00

This is one of my top most priorities this year. I'll get a check ✅ on this one. - GOAL ACHIEVED.

Hopefully, we will get a positive results.  And my daughter is very excited for tomorrow is her first day at this new school.

my little model

They have a free bag as a start.

By the way, they have a free promo last September.  They offered a free class but unfortunately we don't know about it.

What about you?  Have you tried enrolling your kids to their English or Math?  Any feed back?

Get 500 peso off on your groceries at Honest Bee

Hello Mommies,

I would like to share my blessing that I got today from Honest Bee.   As you all know I am a frequent Bee shopper because I don't have the luxury of time to go to the supermarket.  Not that I am a very busy person but I prefer to stay at home and do something else while waiting for my items to arrive.  I hate lining up in the grocery especially if there is a long que and aside from that I tend to buy the things that I don't need like items on sale.  That is why I am skipping grocery shopping for a while now. hehehe.  Well, it's just me.

What makes me fall in love with Honest Bee?  It is as easy as 1, 2, 3.  There are a lot  of shops to choose from.  You can also check their food and beverage sections: from fresh produce, to frozen, organic or even restaurants.  You can even get a free delivery if you met their amount requirement.  You have to keep in mind that some shop especially where I shop at the Robinson supermarket they have a concierge fee of P99, which I don't mind because I know to myself that when I go to the grocery personally I will not stick on the budget, and I might pay more.  LOL.

Every now and then Honest Bee is offering tons of promos.  You just have to keep an eye on them or check them out once in a while.  Like today Honest Bee is giving P500 off from your P3000 or P1000 off from your P5000 worth of groceries.
Imagine that guys??? It is indeed a HUGE SAVINGS.  Especially to all moms out there who are struggling with their budget

Lucky for me I did my grocery today because our kitchen and refrigerator are so bare now.  I opt for the P3000 only because I  don't have much money and I only have that budget in mind just in case the promo code is not working.  Again I used the TNXBEE2U500 promo code and they less P500 from my P3100 bill.   I only paid P2600.

Before I forget I also used my shopback app so I can earn REBATES from my groceries.  So Double whammy..

For those of you who are interested to get SHOPBACK APP and for HONESTBEE APP you may download by clicking the link. Do not worry it is completely safe and hassle free plus no hidden charges.

Hurray for today.

How to earn Online?

Long ago, when I was quite young and inquisitive about things I discovered about How to EARN Online? I was very, very intrigued with the idea of it that's why led me to putting up a blog.  In fact I've got a few blogs which up to  today is not maintained.  I loose my interest in writing and the cliche and competitors are a lot.  The internet is so vast and if you are in a hurry in earning you might just gave up because it is not that easy.  The key in earning online is traffic and in order to get an audience you need to post  a quality topic that interest people like make-up, gossip, hobby, travels, showbiz and porn and the like.

To those of you who are ambitious about this, please if you are just starting don't do this full time. How to authenticate Certificate of Employment at DFA

Hello mga Inay.

When my certificate of employment was released by our Human Resource last week, I was so happy that I immediately rushed to The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in Alimall, Cubao.  I headed to 3rd floor and get a form from the guard.  Filled it up giddily and fall in line.  Suddenly, the Lady in Window 5 caught my attention as she was checking my papers and guess what?? It was incomplete.  I was appalled because it is past 3pm already and all major government offices will be closed at 5pm.  So I hurriedly went to Pasig City to have it notarized.  Luckily, I got to the office at 4pm and my mother's friend who is a clerk assisted me.  But, I have to go to CANA Office of the Regional Trial Court in Pasig City the next day to get an affidavit.

You may asked me what went wrong? Or what requirements are lacking?

Well, well guys.  Before you proceed to DFA for authentication make sure you bring the following documents:

✅Original Certificate of Employment ( for checking purposes)
✅Notarized photocopy of your COE
✅ An affidavit from CANA with Gold seal.
✅Payment of 100php for regular or 200php for expedite(rush) 1 day processing.  I opted the latter because I need that authenticated document ASAP because I will submit it to the Agency for authentication stamp at Kuwait Embassy.

As soon as I got all the required requirements I proceed again for the nth time to DFA
Alimall.

I went to window 5 for processing paid Php200 then return the next day.
I claimed my newly authenticated or known as red ribboned COE at window 6.  It is just smooth processing with not much crowd.  Unlike getting a passport.  Well, that is a different story.

What about you? Care to share your experience when you process your documents.

How I opened my BDO Kabayan Savings

Most of you know that I will be venturing to be an OFW soon.  Opening a savings account is a must because this is where I will place my remittance.  I've decided to open a  BDO Kabayan Savings because  it was near our place and I was enticed with the idea that there is no maintaining balance compared to their regular savings account.

BDO Kabayan comes with a yellow passbook and an ATM which you can enroll for online banking.

The requirements are the following:
  • 2 Government issued ID
  • Contract copy
  • PDOS copy
  • Passport
Remarks:  As much as possible they want to see the original ones especially the contracts and passport,  but I told them that all was at the agency already.  I just got it photocopied because I will open a bank account with them.  They are kind of strict especially with the requirements because after all there is no maintaining balance.

The clerk at the bank told me that I need at least 1 transaction per year for this account to remain a KABAYAN SAVINGS or else it will be converted into a regular savings account which have a maintaining balance of Php10,000 and aside from that if I can't maintain the account they will charge Php300 for dormancy.. hefty right?

By the way there is a Php100.00 amount value for opening the account. and It will take a week to get the ATM.  So, I will be back on Tuesday.   According the their website, it's perks is Free Life and Accident Insurance and you can get rewards from it as well.

Regarding their Free Life and Accident Insurance - you have to meet their requirements and enroll it here.

What about you?  What is your bank of choice?
